Banana Berry Passion Yogurt Smoothie ~ Sumptuous Spoonfuls #smoothie #recipe

Blogging when you have a full-time job is done sometimes in bits and pieces. This smoothie was my speedy breakfast before yoga Saturday morning. On Saturday it was a nice spring day and I spent the entire day running around in my tank top with no jacket.

On Saturday there was no time to blog.

On Sunday I blogged, but it wasn’t the smoothie. It was another post that had been waiting. I didn’t open the photos for this post till Monday night.

This morning I inserted the photos into the post, but had to run out the door to work before I could write anything up.

Today we had an icestorm. The world is covered in a thick layer of ice and it keeps pouring more on us. It took forever to warm my car up enough to chip the ice off the windshield to drive (very slowly) home from work. My trees are a tangled, falling mess of ice.

Icy Tree in April

Tree limbs are bowing down from the weight, and many tree branches are breaking off. I saw some entire trees that just fell over and broke from the weight of it. In a sad sort of twisted way, it looks beautiful, but I feel so sad for the trees.

April Ice Berries

I’m wishing all of us back to Saturday (especially the trees!) when it was warm and the grass was greening and it felt like spring. Drinking smoothies and cooking chicken on the barbecue. Yes, let’s go back to that, can we, please, Mother Nature?

Banana Berry Passion Yogurt Smoothie

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 smoothie 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 7 strawberries (about 1/2 lb.)
  • 14 to 6-oz. container of lowfat berry yogurt
  • 1 large spoonful of frozen Apple Passion Mango juice concentrate (about 2 Tablespoons)
  • 1 cup of milk (more or less to get the thickness you want)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend till smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Peel the banana and break it into chunks before you freeze it on a tray, then move the chunks into a bag once they are frozen. It makes it easier for the blender to blend it up without chunks.

Thanks Sonali! I’m just so grateful we got through spring this year without any ice. My trees are still recovering from last year.
