Crockpot Pepperoni Pizza Dip ~ Sumptuous Spoonfuls #appetizer #recipe

This dip has been calling me! When I laid my eyes on this Crockpot Pizza Dip from Real Housemoms, I knew it was time for me to graduate from meats and stews and try my crockpot out for something DIFFERENT.

I made a few modifications to the recipe … I lightened it up a bit with Greek yogurt and added some extra veggies. My daughter’s friend thought the extra garlic I threw in might have been a bit too much, so I’ll warn you: skip the extra garlic if you’re not a garlic-aholic like me.

I don’t have one of those small crockpots that people get just to hold hot dips, so it seemed a little silly in the bottom of my big ol’ crockpot, but it worked! I think if you wanted the dip faster, you could do it in the microwave or stovetop and have it done in a few minutes. (Just saute the veggies first to soften them.) I’m kinda wondering why we bothered to wait an hour for dip when we could have had it ready in 15 minutes? It’s the magic of slow cookers, I guess … they’re slow. But then that gives you time to do other stuff while it’s cooking, right?
