MySuperSnacks Healthy Snacks for Kids Product Review

About two months ago, Anita from mysuperfoodscompany contacted me and asked if I would be interested in doing a product review for them. Although the products are made for small children I don’t  have any little ones around anymore, I said I would be glad to share them with my sister’s little ones and see what they thought. My sister doesn’t live in town, but I do see her once every couple months or so. We tend to meet up at my mom and dad’s house.

So one weekend in September, we went for a weekend at the lake. I wasn’t prepared with my camera when suddenly the snack tasting just happened. This is how things go with the kids around: life is rushed, fast paced, loud, wild. Something is always happening. It’s challending to get meals on the table and to get everyone seated at the same time (although cooking often makes for really fun projects with the kids).

We somehow ended up eating these snacks in the study; I’m not sure why. It just happened that way. The kids were swarming around us like bees, each coming back for another one as soon as they’d finished the one they were on. Most of them were eager to try a different flavor, but I did hear one of the older ones turn down one because “he doesn’t like that flavor”. This happens with school-age kids who get it in their heads that they don’t like something. It was no matter, he ate chocolate chip ones and all of the snacks disappeared within a matter of minutes. I never got a chance to photograph the snacks themselves.

MySuperSnacks Healthy Snacks for Kids Product Review

All FIVE of the kids (including my teenage daughter) gave these healthy snacks a big thumbs up and my sister was asking where to buy them. My sisters kids’ ages range from 1 to 10. My 14 year old daughter was even asking me to get some for her!

These snacks are soft little sweet squares, sort of like cookies. I did manage to get a small taste of  an apple raisin and it was marvelous. Even if you don’t like raisins, you’d love these babies. I would totally eat these for a snack any day!  Since they are soft, they are great for teens with braces too.

We tasted three flavors:

  • Chocolate chip
  • Apple raisin
  • Blueberry banana acai

and they all went in a FLASH! I’m thinking these snacks would really rock for lunchboxes. The packaging is cute and kid-friendly, the snacks are delicious and kids just LOVE them. Moms will love them too because they are:

  • Made with whole grain oats, omega-3 rich flax seed, amaranth (the ancient super grain) and 17 vitamins and minerals
  • All natural, non-GMO, no preservatives, no additives, absolutely nothing artificial.
  • Each serving contains 10 grams of whole grains, 820 mg of Omega-3’s, 3 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber
  • Made by three moms with little ones who wanted healthier snacks for their little ones

Where can you buy these yummy, kid-friendly snacks?

You can search to see if there are stores near you that carry them or they are also available online at diapers.com, Abe’s Market, Vine.com and (yay!) Amazon.
