Spicy Mango Dark & Stormy Cocktail ~ Sumptuous Spoonfuls #cocktail #recipe

A tropical twist on the classic Dark & Stormy, this lively cocktail intermingles the flavors of ginger, mango, spiced rum, and lime with a hint of mint.

Gifts.com recently sent me a beautiful copper mug from their new customizable bar line. I promised I’d post a cocktail recipe (and I had something like this in mind at the time), but I just needed the copper mug. If you don’t have a copper mug, it’s okay to use a glass. You’ll just feel more like one of the cool kids if you’re sipping your dark & stormy from a shiny copper mug with your name on it.

You may not be able to tell from the photos, with all the reflections on that pretty shininess, but this lovely copper mug has my blog name on it. Thank you, Gifts.com. I did a really stupid thing and stuck my copper mug in the dishwasher after enjoying my cocktail. Don’t do that. It makes your copper mug look terrible. Now I’m ordering some copper polish to clean it up. Why oh why oh why didn’t I just hand wash it like the voice in the back of my head was telling me to?

I have found I need a good cocktail more often lately and this one definitely suits me. I can’t wait until my copper mug is back to looking as pretty as it is in these photos.

If you’re not familiar with ginger beer, there are many varieties of it, some are actually beer, some are more intense versions of ginger ale. Choose the one that works best for your tastes.
