Winter Apple Jack Tea ~ Sumptuous Spoonfuls #comforting #hot #cocktail #recipe #skinny

A cozy, comforting adult beverage to help warm you through this winter season. It tastes much like spiked apple cider, but with fewer calories. I’ve been sipping on this apple tea on chilly autumn evenings as I’m working my way back to healthy after catching my daughter’s cold and since we seem to have plunged quickly from fall right into winter, I thought I ought to share my creation with you.

It’s snowing today! Our first snow of the season. The whole world looks like a winter wonderland–several inches of snow are piling up in my back yard, on my driveway, on my patio furniture. I’ve heard it’s going to be a long, cold, hard winter.  I can’t deny there is a small part of me that wants to scream “Go AWAY! It’s too early!” but most of me is relaxing into this lovely peaceful whiteness, watching the graceful flakes of white slowly drifting to the ground. I’m taking this opportunity to bake some wonderful things, sip some tea and just relax, slow down and enjoy the day.

Our fuzzy long-haired cat is the only one who dares venture outside, but even he doesn’t want to stay out too long today. I’m going to have to go out and shovel, but I don’t want to interrupt this lovely, calm relaxed feeling I’ve got today. Another cup of tea, perhaps? This tea, a cozy blanket, a soft cuddly cat and a good book would be the perfect companions for today.
