Autumn Bliss Savasana Bars

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 24 - 48 bars (depending on how small you cut them) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 3 cups crushed vanilla cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3 oz. white chocolate, melted

For the top:

  • 1 cup dried cranberries (a.k.a. Craisins)
  • 2 Tablespoons Jack Daniels whiskey
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chopped dried apricots
  • 2 cups chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, etc.), toasted
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup caramel syrup (or more)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Spray a 13x9x2 inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, mix the crust ingredients until well mixed. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the dried cranberries with the whiskey and let them bathe for at least 15 minutes, tossing a few times to mix.
  4. Sprinkle the crust with the oats, cranberries (reserving any leftover whiskey), apricots, chips and nuts, then drizzle liberally with caramel syrup and the maple syrup. In a small bowl, mix the condensed milk with any remaining liquid from the cranberries and vanilla and drizzle that over top as well.
  5. Sprinkle the top with the mini marshmallows and then the sea salt. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until the bars are set and the marshmallows are nicely browned.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into small squares.
