Buttermilk Blue Cheese Dressing

  • Author: Ann
  • Prep Time: 5 min
  • Total Time: 5 min
  • Yield: About 1 cup 1x
  • Category: Salad
  • Method: No cook
  • Cuisine: American
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise (or 1/3 cup mayo, 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt)
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, crumbled (or 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/21 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled & chopped
  • 22.5 oz. blue cheese, hand crumbled
  • Fresh ground pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the blue cheese and ground pepper.
  2. Set the bowl on a kitchen scale and tare it so it doesn’t count the weight of the bowl. Crumble about 2 oz. of blue cheese into the bowl then fresh grind some black pepper on top. Stir, then taste and add blue cheese, black pepper, or any of the other ingredients to get the dressing to taste just how you like it. Use buttermilk or milk to thin to the desired consistency.
  3. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge. Enjoy on top of your salads or for dipping veggies, anything buffalo, or for a dip for potato skins or veggie fries. You can even use this as a sauce for white pizza!
